Managing Director

Alison is an outgoing, highly organised, determined business woman with a passion for people and helping businesses grow. 

Alison genuinely believes “When it is delivered correctly, sales and customer service is exactly the same thing”. So after many years of working in blue chip companies including BT and Yell as well as previously managing hotels in Cape Town and Sydney, she decided to combine her knowledge to create a new fresh approach to training and coaching for sales teams working in SME’s and corporate companies. Within 12 months of incorporating Sales Coaching Solutions, she was already turning over a six figure sum.

In 2015 the withdrawal of government funding streams Growth Vouchers and Growth Accelerator saw a lack of much needed sales training support for start-up, owner managed and micro businesses. It was due to demand, she created her new business,  Alison Edgar – The Entrepreneur’s Godmother, which delivers sales training to groups of business owners.

The journey over the last 2 years has been an exciting one to say the least with Alison being recognised as one of the UK’s top 10 business advisers by Enterprise Nation, being nominated to attend the Queens Royal Garden party for her dedication to Small Business, Winner of GB Entrepreneur of the Year special merit for service awards and chosen as a Small Business Saturday ambassador. In her role as Regional Champion for Enterprise Nation, she invited 20 small businesses to accompany her to No 10 Downing Street to meet with David Cameron’s advisor to discuss small business issues in the South West. Regularly featured in The Sunday Times, The Telegraph and The Mail on Sunday The Guardian, and BBC Radio 4 Alison is no stranger to national press coverage.

The pinnacle of her success though is to see clients businesses grow. Her award winning clients include Jordan Daykin the CEO of Gripit Fixings, the youngest contestant on Dragon’s Den to win funding from Deborah Meaden, who had recently had his company valued at over £10 million pounds and 17 year old Ben Towers a top tech entrepreneur who regularly features on BBC TV’s Pocket Money pitch .

A firm believer in “giving back” she is a business mentor at Abbyfield School, and regularly key note speaks at The University of the West of Scotland in the importance of “Selling Yourself” to get a job. Her charity activities include being a sleeper at Bite Night, Action for Children and supporter of Business against Poverty.
